There are many ways to pray and communicate or talk to the Lord. There is intercession, supplications, general prayers, and thanksgiving. But another way to pray that is found throughout the scriptures is what I call The Power of Crying Out. What is crying out to God? It is lifting your voice to the Lord out loud for our nation, local communities, the world, and needs that are present for our own lives and for the lives of others. Psalm 55:17, Psalm 18:6, Psalm 34:17, and Psalm 61:1-2 all speak of crying out to the Lord. The words crying out in these verses and many many other verses found throughout the Word of God, speak of a loud voice, a ringing or a shrill sound, and a high pitched shout for help. These verses and others like it are simply trying to bring to light a principle to the body of Christ in the times in which we are living and it is to cry out to the Lord.

If I can say it this way, “Regular and normal prayer will not be enough in these last days”. Just spending a few minutes with God will not really cut it in the days in which we are living. It is time to cry out to God. We are on the doorstep of the return of the Lord and the signs of the times are revealing that His return is close. Therefore, it is not a time for the body of Christ to be whispering prayers. It is not time for the body of Christ to be going through the motions of prayer. It is time for the body of Christ to lift their voices to the Lord in prayer continually and to cry out to Him for renewal, revival, deliverance, and salvation. Cry out right now to the Lord and see today what He will do for you…
