As In The Days Of Noah
Matthew 24:37 – “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
The author Matthew penned these vitally important words about the last days in which we are now living. They reveal that as we look and study the times and days of Noah, we will see how the end time days will be in our culture and society. As we read Genesis chapter 6 which describe the days and times of Noah, it is not a pretty picture that is described. One verse especially stood out and hit me between the eyes as I read it over and over again.
Genesis 6:5,”Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
This is a powerful verse as we see that the majority of the earth’s population, except those who are born again believers, will have evil and wicked thoughts and intentions all of the time. This is the world we will be living in as the day of the second coming of the Lord gets closer and closer. The world as we know it will not be getting better and better as some would like to teach and think. That is not being negative. It is being truthful. The world as we know it will never be the same again as humanity turns to their own ways which only leads to destruction. Humanity, left to their own thinking and devices, will end up destroying themselves and the planet they live on. You see, humanity without Jesus is depraved, disobedient, dieing and doomed for destruction (Ephesians 2:1-4). It is not a great description of man is it? But it is still the truth. But mankind with Jesus Christ and becoming born again believers is full of life, joy, peace and most importantly, will inherit everlasting life. That is a wonderful description of humanity isn’t it? You can see the difference when humanity lives without the Lord and then lives with the Lord.
The good news about the days and times of Noah is that Noah builds an ark and anyone who gets into the ark will be saved and have everlasting life. The ark represents Jesus Christ. Today we have a person who will save us and not a boat or an ark. Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world and anyone who comes to know Him can have everlasting life. So even though the world is crumbling right in front of our eyes, turn to Jesus or tell someone to turn to Jesus because He is the only way to live the abundant life and have purpose and life the way the Lord intended every human being to have. We are living in the days of Noah, but we are also living in the days of Jesus Christ. Choose which life you desire to live. Do you want the life Noah describes in Genesis chapter 6 or do you want the abundant life that Jesus Christ can bring to you. It is each individual’s choice to make. I choose the abundant life of Jesus and hope you do to…
